Sanitary napkins also make great bandages for large wounds that are bleeding heavily till you get to pet emergency or if you are out hiking. Held in place with vet wrap they work great and do not stick to wounds. I keep them in my pet emergency box. Great info...thank you.

That Advanced Critical Care in Tustin is amazing. Keep an empty credit card available for a pet emergency because you never know, and you'll need it for a bad emergency. They had experts in all depts and you can visit your pet all the time while they are waiting or in between surgeries. Organized and personal. I wish humans had something so well done!

Dr. Terifaj, this is fantastic and so imperative! I got certified in Dog CPR in about a 1/2 day at our local Red Cross - they also covered 1st Aid.

Thanks for the great post!

Denise's First Aid Kits are compact, yet full of so many essential first aid supplies. Our staff at Camp Bow Wow has been trained by Denise. Her classes are interesting and chock-full of useful procedures, information and fascinating tidbits about our furry friends.
